Sociedad Portuaria de Cartagena

Sociedad Portuaria Regional de Cartagena (SPRC) has been ranked Best Caribbean Port on multiple occasions by the Caribbean Shipping Association due to its high levels of productivity and efficiency. It has also been rated the “most reliable port” by the same association.

Manga sea terminal has been run by SPRC since 1993, when it was awarded a 40-year concession as part of a commitment to make major investments and to execute a Master Development Plan.

Over an operating period of more than 20 years, the terminal has increased its operational productivity, expanded its storage capacity, implemented speedy processes and established a rigorous security system. This enabled it to play a central role in the 1990s during the liberalization of the Colombian economy, which made the port an essential player in boosting foreign trade.

When adding both elements- development and a strategic location- the end result offers customers an effective and safe service of excellent quality. It has thus become one of the principal connection centers worldwide for the most important international shipping lines.
